Newly retraced Enescu’s first Piano Trio

Romanian composer George Enescu (1881–1955) is one of the neglected giants of the twentieth century. Tragically many of his early but mature works of extraordinary emotional depth and intricate beauty remain unknown outside Romania, having been silenced by circumstances of history. The trio in g minor was lost until the recent discovery of a manuscript, written when he was only 16. It received its American premiere on July 8th 2019 at the Seattle Chamber Music Festival performed with violinist James Ehnes and cellist Ani Aznavorian.

In recent news, the trio continues to inspire musicians across the world and has been scheduled to be recorded in 2022.
